Indian cricket is known to produce some of the best batsmen in the history of cricket and the list won’t be completed without the name of Virender Sehwag in it. Virender Sehwag was undoubtedly the most aggressive batsman ODI cricket has ever seen.

In 2011, Virender Sehwag blasted 219 runs in 147 balls and was one of the highest scorers in the ODI format. His aggressive style of batting changed the image of Indian cricket and helped the other Indian cricketers to develop their game.

2) Martin Guptill – 237

Another highest ODI knock in the 2015 ODI World Cup came from the bat of New Zealand’s legend Martin Guptill. Taking things into his hand against West Indies, Martin Guptill smashed 237 runs in 163 and became the highest scorer in the World Cup tournament. Guptill also became the only New Zealand cricketer to score a double century in the ODI format.

1) Rohit Sharma – 264

The current Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, tops the charts with 264 runs and a record that is turning out to be unbreakable. His record was registered against Sri Lanka in 2014 and Sharma’s innings included 33 fours and 9 sixes, the highest percentage of runs any batsman has scored with the help of boundaries.

Rohit Sharma is the only batsman in the world who holds the record of scoring three double-hundreds in the ODI format and also he is on top with his highest individual scores in ODI matches.
