Best 5 Cricketers who could earn Team India call-up after IPL 2023

Top 5 Cricketers Team India Call Up

When it comes to Indian Premier League, the tournament is not only cash-rich, IPL is also a tournament that is talent-rich and is known to make careers of some of the best players in the world. Every year, from the domestic grounds of Indian cricket, new faces make it to Team India because of their exceptional performance in the tournament. After IPL 2022, we saw Arshdeep Singh and Umran Mallik becoming part of the national squad and performing well on the global stage.

This year as well we expect a few young cricketers who will be observed by the BCCI and the selection committee to give them a chance to make it to the Indian squad.

We have compiled a list of 5 cricketers who played exceptionally well in the ongoing season of IPL.

1) Yashaswi Jaiswal

Yashaswi Jaiswal has become the talk of the town after his consecutive run-scoring performances for Rajasthan Royals. It is a beginning of a new journey for Yashaswi Jaiswal and the 21-year-old player is currently the third-highest scorer in IPL 2023. Jaiswal has scored 575 runs in 13 games at a strike rate of 166.18 and an average of 47.92. There is no way BCCI and the selection committee can ignore his performance in IPL 2022 and might be looking forward to giving him his Indian jersey.

2) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma has been in the good books of Mumbai Indians since the previous season. The stylish left-hander is known for his fast-paced game in the middle order for Mumbai Indians. Varma has appeared in 9 matches for MI and he has scored 274 at a strike rate of 113.22 and an average of 34.25. The 20-year-old has shown maturity in his game and has always performed with consistency.

3) Suyash Sharma

Suyash Sharma made headlines at a very early stage of IPL 2023 with his spin attack. Sharma carries no experience in competitive cricket but has performed like an experienced player and has shown positivity in his talent. In 8 matches, Suyash Sharma has picked up 10 wickets in 10 matches at an economy of 8.13. Indian cricket is known for producing some of the best spinners in the world and Suyash is in the process of becoming that. He is an excellent leggie who can surprise any batting lineup in the world in the near future.

4) Rinku Singh

Becoming an exceptional cricketer is not a one-night job. The fantabulous batter from Kolkata Knight Riders, Rinku Singh, proved it right and his years of hard work paid off while helping KKR score a win in the last over by hitting five consecutive sixes. It is not an easy task for a lower-order batter to change the game but Rinku Singh made it look very smooth. Ronku’s ability to judge the ball is excellent and a batsman like him can be useful at a crucial stage for team India in a T20 fixture.

5) Mayank Markende

Mayank Markende made his debut for IPL in 2018 with Mumbai Indians but he was unable to make an impact in those two seasons. It took him 5 years and three franchise changes to become a star in the IPL. He currently plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad and even though his team is struggling, Markende is performing consistently. In 10 matches, Markende has picked up 12 wickets at an economy of 7.89. His spin skills will be very useful for Team India in the near future.
